Overview
Amboseli National Park is situated in southern Kenya. It is a premier park known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro at the backdrop bordering Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Lake Amboseli dominates the western section of the park, which is dry outside the rainy season.
The park offers excellent viewing of large concentrations of African animals living in this natural habitat. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. The proud Masai people continue to live outside the park borders, following their ancient traditions and tending to their much-treasured cattle. A visit to their homestead gives one insight into this lovely community. A 2-night, 3-day Safari takes you to Amboseli National park, where you will explore the park.
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli national park
We depart Nairobi after breakfast, via Namanga border town. This is where we have our lunch. Thereafter proceed to Amboseli National Park arriving early afternoon. After checking in at the camp we do an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp/ lodge.
Day 2: Full-day game drive in Amboseli national park
After breakfast embark on a full day game drive where plains game namely zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and various antelopes can be seen. You will have a picnic lunch at an observation point. Early morning or evening you’ll see the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen during clear weather from the observation hill. Large herds of elephants and hippos can be seen bathing in the swamp grounds whose waters source is Mt. Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the camp/ lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli national park – Nairobi
We take you for three {3} hours early morning pre-breakfast game drive at 6:00 am. After a late breakfast which can be served as brunch depart Amboseli for Nairobi to do the last game drive. Arrive in Nairobi in the early evening.
