5-Day Nile River Adventure: visit Murchison Falls National Park and connect to Jinja for Nile River adventure activities like whitewater rafting and river surfing. Day 1: Depart for Murchison Falls National Park (4-5 hours)
Pick up from your hotel in Kampala after breakfast and drive to Murchison Falls National Park. This is Uganda’s largest park. The park is home to elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and a variety of antelopes. Visit the famous Luweero triangle – The theatre of Uganda Bush wars. Lunch is served en route to Masindi Town. Visit magnificent Murchison Falls, where water thunders through different rapids ranging from 7 m to 40 m to the gorge below. Dine and stay overnight.
Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise along the Albert Nile
After breakfast, we start for a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile River. The game viewing will be graced by elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, hartebeests, Uganda kobs, oribis, and waterbucks, among many more. A hot lunch will be served at the hotel. Later in the afternoon, embark on a cruise into the Albert Nile. An exciting panoramic view from the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls is something to do. Crocodiles, hippos, kingfishers, cormorants, bee-eaters, and the rare shoebill stork will entertain you. Dine and overnight stay in.
Day 3: Source of River Nile – Jinja
Breakfast will pave the way for our road trip to Jinja, the source of the Nile. Witness volumes of the longest river in Africa, the mighty Nile, as it starts its journey to the Mediterranean Sea. Get a hot lunch in Jinja town. Drive to the Bujagali Falls viewpoint. Dine and stay overnight.
Day 4: Rafting: A Thrilling Adventure
After breakfast, drive to Bujagali Falls, the starting point for whitewater rafting for a full day. A thrilling white-water rafting adventure on the massive Nile. While the heat of the day subsides, we do a city tour in Jinja town. Dinner and stay overnight.
Day 5: Back to Kampala.
Transfer back to Kampala after breakfast. Visit Mabira Forest and Sezibwa Falls en route. Dine and stay overnight to complete a 5-day River Nile adventure.
